Maybe Camping Oahu?

Are you currently trying to plot an upcoming vacation, and reckon of camping Oahu as an option, but not sure if that’s what you want to do?

If so, you may be feeling a bit overwhelmed by trying to make this choice seeing as how there are so many fantastic vacation destinations out there.

But, I would highly recommend that you look at camping Oahu in Hawaii!    The state parks on Oahu would make for a wonderful camping Oahu vacation for many different reasons.

For starters, the scenic views with the ocean and the Ko’olau Mountains are austerely breathtaking!  Also, the botanical gardens are quite gorgeous, and the wonderful fragrances that emanate from the garden’s flowers are really nice too.

You can even camp right on the beach in Oahu if you would like!  Just try to envision how incredible it would be to camp on the beach in Hawaii and wake up to a gorgeous sunrise reflecting off the ocean’s waters!

Camping Oahu On A Budget

Are you on somewhat of a tight budget right now?  If so, then that is yet another fantastic reason to go camping Oahu as you not only get to delight in the gorgeous scenic views up close, but going camping is also a terrific way to save money!

Going camping is a really affordable way of vacationing in Oahu, primarily when compared to how much it would cost you to stay in one of the hotels in the area instead.

There are currently around 16 different campgrounds to choose from in Oahu.  The county camp sites require that you have a permit in order to camp there.

There is no charge to get a permit for the county camping Oahu sites.

But, should you choose to instead stay at one of the state camp sites in Oahu, you will then need to pay a small fee of $5.00 per night per family in order to get a permit that allows you to stay there.

If there is someone in your family that has a trend to get overheated easily such as perhaps an elderly person or someone with an illness, then you may want to consider staying at Keaiwa Recreation Area since the temperature tends to be a bit cooler there.

Kualoa Regional Park is also a fantastic place to go camping in Oahu.  This is a well loved spot for snorkeling and swimming, and you can also go fishing there if you would like.

Thank you very much for taking the time to read this article, and I hope that you have found it to be both fascinating and informative.

Also, I hope that you and your family have a wonderful time while camping Oahu!
